seven days dreaming the dark of a new moon
day six, february 24, 2023
you know how sometimes you have an appointment that you prepare for?
there to are to do lists involved.
there are plans and strategies.
you know a certain organizing of materials will be necessary afterwards.
And then at the last minute, just as you sit there, back straight, ready with your to dos, the appointment falls through, it is going to have to be rescheduled, someone else is busy and is not free now.
And, at first, there is a sense of loss because the to dos were - in your mind - ready to be done, there was a whole journey in that list, and you feel a bit lost and alone because one whole future has fallen away, for now.
And you feel it in your belly, the whole world moving forward and you left behind.
And you know by now to not trust those voices when they start to clamor, you know to go into the body, you know to seek help and you go, this time, to Tara Brach, and the voice brings you into the moment and in the space that suddenly has opened up before you, there is the joy of the novel that you have been dying to get back to for weeks…
But there has been one thing or another that you had to do before.
And now there is nothing and before you know it...

the stillness that comes from falling into what you love
