25 September 1493: Cristobal Colon set sail from Cádiz for his second voyage which brought “la evangelizacion y la cultura al nuevo mundo” - so says the plaque in one of the main plazas of Cádiz. I walked by this almost every week on my way to flamenco practice before I suddenly took note.
