The Audacious Dream of The Good Manners in Spain continues…
We are two days away from our fundraising deadline - August 15!
Friends,, do you know why that give me hope?
Because August 15 also happens to be the Independence Day of India. 1947.
I got an email today that said: “Seventy five years ago, India kept her tryst with destiny, shrugging off centuries-old yoke of colonialism to become independent.” it was from Association for India’s Development Inc (AID).
"...at the stroke of the midnight hour..." said Nehru, the first prime minister of India.
I am thinking of the attack on Salman Rushdie as I write "midnight," hoping for his recovery,
Sincere thanks to everyone who has donated, written, shared support. We sincerely appreciate it.
We are now $12,000 away from our goal.
Any donations of any size will get us closer. Three people who give $4000 is another way we get there.
Your support goes towards rehearsal spaces rental, fees for artists/musicians
consulting choreographer, production coordinators, set, sound and lighting design and materials, publicist/marketing and translating the play into Spanish for the 2023 Spanish version of the play.
Your support is a step into a mysterious and powerful journey about unraveling the roots of colonization.

All donations are tax-deductible through our 501c3 fiscal sponsor, Ecologia.
“I was looking at the reaction of some of the Spanish students and they were going “my God, I'm used to looking at the world from this lens where Europe is the center of the globe.” And suddenly they started realizing that there were these other cultural connections happening outside of their sphere. Something changed in the way that they thought about the world.”
— Professor Maurice O’Connor, University of Cádiz, on the students reaction after seeing excerpts of The Good Manners of Colonized Subjects in classes in April.
